Cassie Strange is the only normal person in her family. Her father is a TV celebrity. Her mother is an environmental activist. Lucas, her brother, is an aspiring actor and is always in costume, while Amber, her little sister, talks to animals.

In Oh No! UFO! Cassie and her family are on a camping trip. The Strange family has never had a "normal" outing in the past and Cassie is excited. However, when Cassie accidently spills the contents of her dad's briefcase onto the ground, she discovers that the camping trip is actually a research project for her dad's TV show that exposes fraudulent UFO claims.
Early the next morning, Cassie takes her little sister to the campground outhouse. While waiting outside the outhouse for her sister, Cassie sees bright lights and a banana-shaped spaceship. In a panic, Cassie hollers for her sister but Amber doesn't answer. Cassie flings open the door to the outhouse, but the real-Amber is gone! Alien-Amber has taken her place.
Oh No! UFO! is a fast, fun read. My daughter and I were unable to set this book down until we had read it, cover to cover. This is also the perfect book for children who are learning to write book reports. There are no flashbacks or time-twists that are often difficult for children to describe in a book report. Everything happens in action-based, sequential order.
