Book Review of Amanda Greenleaf by Ed Kavanagh

A One-volume Edition of The Complete Adventures and the Final Book

Apr 8, 2009 Stella Walsh

The fourth and final Amanda Greenleaf book has been published with the other three magical adventures in a one-volume edition.

Amanda Greenleaf: The Complete Adventures contains the four books in this series, each of which can be read alone. However, they are written in such a way that they are also four parts of one exciting adventure surrounding Amanda Greenleaf and her friends.

Amanda Greenleaf is the beautiful and magical Guardian of the Waterfall who has many unusual friends. There is a giant dragonfly, an ambassador to the queen, two merpeople, a brave trout, humans, fairies, and a magician.

In these stories, Kavanagh has created exciting adventures for Amanda Greenleaf and her friends, all the while keeping a gentle and controlled tone. Each plot keeps an entertaining pace, with lots of magic for those who like fantasy. The stories draw the reader in and give a sense of "being there."

The wonderful artwork by Janice Udell completes the magical quality of the stories. Each illustration is a work of art in fine detail.
