Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia Library
The Electronic Text Center provided by the University of Virginia Library provides a unique collection of free E-books for young readers. The site includes general fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, letters, newspapers, manuscripts and illustrations from 1500 to the present.
Project Gutenberg is the oldest producer of free E-Books on the Internet. Search by title or author to explore a wide selection of E-books from classic authors from Alcott to Twain.
The Baldwin Project offers a broad collection of resources and online texts of children’s classic literature including works from the period from 1880 to 1922.
