She’s smart, witty, and stands her ground. She reads books, concentrates on her schoolwork, and still manages to be cool. Who wouldn’t want to be like Hermione Granger?
Hermione Granger, one of the main characters from the Harry Potter books, shows girls that they can be intelligent and still be cool. After all, who wouldn’t want to hang out with a girl who can out think her friends, Harry and Ron?
There is a lot to admire about this book character. For one thing, she doesn’t need to dress trashy to have boys like her and she doesn’t need to flirt with boys to have them as friends.
She is also an honest character and doesn’t stab her friends in the back. She is stable and faces whatever disaster heads her way, even when it seems like death is imminent.
Family-wise, you can tell that Hermione loves her parents. She does not badmouth them, and she seems to be the type of girl who listens to her parents whenever sound advice is given. Of course, that’s probably not why so many girls like her.
Hermione is all common sense and people tend to listen to her. She is respected because she is smart, not because she is wearing the latest fashions (which she isn’t).
One of the coolest things about her is that she can do magic. Her transfiguration skills are incredible. She excels in all of her classes. Why? Because she studies and practices her skills.
Hermione is one of those characters that parents and teachers should be presenting to all girls. She shows them that girls can be smart, smarter than the boys, and people will still think they are cool.
