Now that it's September and the weather is cooling down here in Pennsylvania, my children and I have thoughts of ghosts and goblins running through our minds. From now until Halloween we will be scaring ourselves silly with chilling books and spooky movies. Maybe we'll take one of the ghost walks in Gettysburg or Philadelphia. Perhaps we'll go visit the hand at the old prison in Lehighton. No matter what it is that we do, we'll manage to scare the wits out of ourselves.
R.L. Stine's The Nightmare Room fits our appetite for the spooks. It has online reading and a spooky Flash atmosphere. There are also free screensavers, perfect for this time of year.
I would love to hear from my readers about how they spend their time preparing for Halloween and what their favorite scary children's books are. Feel free to drop me a line anytime.
