Interesting. I knew there were different types of haiku, including American-ized versions, but never heard any referred to as Lunes. I like the name as well as the form.

I had never heard of lunes until I began homeschooling my children. I found examples of them in a small number of Language Arts books and have been using the form with my kids in a number of subjects: history, social studies, health. It's a fun form of poetry writing that my two just love. :-)
